Brief Background

KingCon is a large Comic, TV, Film and Gaming Convention in the North East, targeted to engage enthusiasts and families in a trade exhibition styled event with Celebrity Guests, Workshops, Themed environments and activities, Entertainment, Learning and discovery activities, appropriate trade stalls and exhibitions, movie and film props, gaming and social activities, in a theatrical environment that makes KingCon one of the North East’s most popular events.

KingCon follows a story, which helps our guests discover, meet and create throughout the event, and learn while they experience their surroundings. We believe this state of enjoyment allows for our guests to open up more to learning and spending money.

KingCon welcomes previous years partners joining us again, and new educational, inspiring and professional commercial partners joining to help build the content of this event.

When we build our events we make sure that we cover our main core principles of Discover, Meet and Create, which we follow along every aspect of our business decisions. Our message this year is “Inspire future generations to seek careers in Technology, Science and Media.

KingCon is part of Dark Matter Café group, the largest Comic Book and Gaming Cafe in the North East.
